last time i asked (3 months ago), battery 5-yr warranty. expecting change of battery every 3-5yrs. battery price for now is about RM7-9k RM. if price of petrol no change, you do not really save money much.... still waiting for Civic hybrid.....
Hybrid is common in other country. The reason we only see H and T model, 1 each in Malaysia is our government restricted the import of these cars. Our Proton is testing its EV car and its still in prototyping stage. In order for Proton to compete in this future automotive trend, our country can not import too many hybrid car else Proton will lose its market share and lost competition pretty swiftly. As i know, Proton EV is still under road testing and its not successful yet due to some reliability issue. ( updated from my R&D contact in proton back in April 2011). Even if the prototype succeed, the price will be almost the same as Insight i predict, as the R&D cost is huge.
Before blaming the govt/破桶.... i hv another version of the story.....back in 2003/2004,Civic hybrid was launched in Malaysia, by Honda Malaysia. I actually went to Honda and ask about it. It was launched, but it was not sold. the reason being that, local honda dealers/distributors have no faith in hybrid market in Malaysia, and they are not willing to spend the money and resources in bringing in hybrid because if they do, they will have to send many technicians to Japan to be trained, and in order for each honda workshop to have at least one technician, the $$ is too much.

纠正下，电池是保用五年，但寿命可以去到十年。。。
我试过，用电力mode，车子没力。
现在最便宜是它了·········
若安装那些 taxi 用的 NGV tank， 它也是很省油哦！！！
上山一定会用电油。。。。只有走顺了才走电的。。。。。。。不能拿来跑啦。。。。家庭车来的。。。。。
大致上每个车商都出了这种车款。。。只是这里只有T和H引进来罢了。。。
那个也是一种省钱的办法之一。。。。。

结果又是因为破桶········ 人民和环境也不理了。 最重要是破桶的EV能卖就行，如果研究不成功，就别想别的EV会进得来马来西亚。
我看可能以后出来的hybrid,又给T和H笑了·········· T的hybrid已经是第三代了，成熟度非常的高。H的也比不上。当破桶的hybrid或EV出来时，T和H和N的EV/hybrid可能已经是又另一代了。
可怜的我们。。。。。被逼当水鱼。。。。

哇！！！！PRIUS那么省油咧！！！不知道INSIGHT的PERFORMANCE怎样咧。。。
去金马伦应该也会很省，上山时电摩多发力帮助，下山时可以回充电。
Insight会比较差，Prius的马力相等于2.4L的引擎，而Insight则相等于1.6L。
而且Prius电力磨多的调配也比Insight来的更细腻。
厂方的数据是 Prius 1L=25.6km，而Insight则是 1L=17.5km
不过HOR。。。PRIUS比INSIGHT贵多了。。。INSIGHT的价钱跟CITY/VIOS差不多。。。只是贵~RM10K而已。。
当然，一分钱一分货嘛····· 可是Insight已经是很超值了，在马来西亚买RM98K，可以买到日本进口的车。 不过Prius也不错，虽然是贵RM40k
哇塞。。。省～～～
